Come on guys, you can't honestly say you all go out at night and hit on girls walking home alone (at least i hope not). There's people new to this forum and game in general that read this. Don't turn them into creepers.

Night time at bars, sure. Walking down Manhattan, Burbon street, or any street where there's a party/celebration atmosphere, go for it. You both are walking at night and live in the same building, go ahead and chat her up in the elevator, i do it all the time. BUT, there's some situations where it's just not acceptable. This is one of them.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. But, no one knows what is going to work out. Stranger things have happened. As a man, all you can do is do the approach and present yourself in the best way possible (which means not being a creep once she says she is not interested). Nothing guarantees the lay anyway. So might as well approach when you feel like it without thinking about useless, extraneous factors.

I think the approach went quite well given everything. If a girl talks to you for 5 minutes, asks questions about you etc., I would call that a successful approach. It wasn't like I was physically holding her, forcing her to talk to me. If you believe it is creepy, it is. If you think it is not, it is not. Will all girls stop? No. Will some do? Yes.

My question was more about the fact that I could have been more empathetic to her hesitation to divulge information. I don't think she was going for the "I'm so cool, you're going to google me angle". But I reacted as if she was. With some other girl, my response would have been perfect. Not to say it was particularly bad with this girl. It is just a question of understanding the subtext.

BTW, just checked. The number was a fake.

Approach girls on the street at night CAN work, it's just a very low probability approach. Those few times it works though, it's usually an instant lay though.

@ everybody: Every one of you name a time in which you approached a girl alone on the street in the dark and got a lay out of it. Make sure to give the context in which you approached and everything.

@ Brian: You get no pussy.....

In Southampton, UK, May of last year. Asked a Polish girl for directions late at night and ended up going home with her a couple hours later. I'm sure it's happened other times. That one's just the most memorable.

You're right that it scares and startles many of them. But you're wrong that it can't be done. It's just a low probability situation. You have to approach with caution and respect.

And both you and Brian, cut it out.

RE: Mini FR and calibration question
@playmaker. I'd have to know more about the situation to say whether this was a context where it could never work, vs a context where it just didn't work. Obviously if its an empty street, or if she's literally walking into her building, probably a bad idea to even try to approach. Crowded streets are much better, etc.

Come to think of it, I'd also add that on the street at night (unless it is a very busy street) is the one situation where I'd never go fully direct, because I'd be worried about freaking girls out.

Really don't see the point of figuring out if it will work. I've never regretted an approach I've made. If it doesn't work, what's the worst that can happen? If you don't feel comfortable approaching, don't approach. If u do, approach. Why is this such a big deal? Blanket statements like this will never work is just an exercise in futility. It could be a low probability situation, but is is never a no probability situation.
