Hey, you're right. Most men who joined this community do have shitty lifestyle, including mark the founder of this site.

I guess you're a natural so you cut from a different breed than the rest of us.

I can tell you for a fact that even if a girl's lifestyle suck, if she has at least an ok body, dont eat shit from fast food etc, she can still be attractive way after her 20ish.

Everyone's situation is quite different Brian. You can't make blanket statements like that. For some people, yes, all they need to do is approach a few times. Honestly, that's all I needed to do to find girls who were at least interested in me. I just wasted a good six months fucking around with Mystery Method which hurt more than it helped. I had a good lifestyle (in college) and was naturally pretty calibrated when I started, so getting attraction was not very hard at all. My problem was more escalating and AA. For other people they have no AA but need hundreds of interactions to become calibrated. Everyone's different.

See my sections on the two different types of guys.

That's the biggest advantage we have in my mind.
Hey Mark,
Have there been surveys or stuff done, that prove that men peak in attractiveness in our early 30's? I would love to believe this (as I am 31), but I'm not entirely convinced.

Yes. The most visible one being a post on blog.okcupid.com

Everything I've seen pinpoints peak male attractiveness from anywhere from 27 to 32. And if you look young for your age, even better.

Also, I'll add that male attractive tapers off much slower than women. For instance, the drop off between a 27 year old woman and a 37 year old woman is pretty drastic (as we all probably know). But the drop off between a 27 year old man and a 37 year old man is relatively minor.

It is true. I'm 39 and I'm getting more attention from women than ever before. I'd like to add though that I go to the gym regularly and I take care of myself, how I dress, my body language, education: I speak three languages and I've been involved in the community for about 4 years, so it's age, look, maturity and the effort that you want to make to get better in the dating world.

Quote:I live in southern california and went to the beach down here. There are tons of house wives of rich men who are 35+ and they're what most of us considered "8's and 9s". These women are uber hot!! If they go to club, they can get way more dicks than mystery can even dream of getting pussies.

Brian, it's true that women can get laid more easily than men. But women don't just want to get laid. And even the ones who do just want to get laid feel powerless. Most men are awful in bed. And if a guy is good in bed he's an asshole more often than not, and will hurt her in some way. Women often feel frustrated and powerless because they can't get what they want (be it good sex or a relationship with a quality guy), while being constantly bothered by wussies and assholes who want to use them for sloppy sex or ego-boosts.

If you're one of the quality guys, then you are the one with all the power.

Yep exact the same situation as with me.

- I was already very good socially and was also good looking.

My issues mostly were approaching, escalating and believing in myself. I taught that there was a lot wrong with me, but in fact it wasn't. But this belief made me think that women weren't interested.

This is a very good example of how your mind can block certain things from you.

- The reason I got friend zoned back then was because I didn't make a move. But if I look back, there were a lot of women who responded very warmly to me. I just didn't believe it.

so please don't put me on a pedestal Big Grin

RE: The advantage of being a guy in modern age
What General G said: re the numbers game and urban areas.

I wouldn't want to be a woman at a bar that just kind of stands there, dancing with her friends, waiting for the right kind of guy to approach her. There are girls that do subtle things like stand in proximity or try to catch eye contact, but it's still up to us whether a conversation gets going or not 99% of the time.

Also what Mark said about men getting more attractive as they get older

I'd add...I think guys have a bigger age range to deal with. I just hit 30 but can get a girl maybe 5 years older and just about anything over 21 or so. I think women are much more fussy about age than we are (and that includes being more depressed and angry about being older as well as specifying the age range of guys she wants to date).
