Getting to the venue early
I come to this realization about a year ago and mark here also as well lol. Seem like once you're infield long enough, practically every theory that exist in the community, you will invent it naturally.

Mark believe you should get there by 10. I disagree. I say if there's hot girls at around 8, you SHOULD be there at 8. The thing is, especially at a new venue, it takes at least half an hour to completely and utterly feel acclimate to the venue. If you hit on girls by 8, i garuanteer you that you have 100 percent chance that you're the first guy who hit on her.

Also, for raves. Usually raves start at 4 pm or 6 pm. Be there right away and start hitting on them at that time.

I remember the hottest girl i've ever hooked up with at a rave was at 5 pm. The rave was open at 4 LOL. While all these afc chodes start hitting on girls at rave around 10, i was hitting on them at 4.

In order to be ahead of the game, break all the conventional rules and do what give you maximum results!

RE: Getting to the venue early
It's true on the theories coming naturally over time...the more I've experienced, the more I can recognize BS vs actual advice. Still got a ways to go, but it's always cool to hear what I suspected confirmed.

8, though? That's seriously early...the places I go to usually get going at 11 and are at their peak around 12, so I aim to be there at 10. Good point on needing time to get settled in, though, I've definitely noticed that I need a good ten to twenty minutes to get comfortable before I'm up for more than chatting with friends or bartenders.

The problem I'd have with it is that if I get there too far before the peak, I end up killing time until people arrive, and usually lose the mood sooner or later. The earliest that I've been able to go and be useful is around 9:30...but then, it probably depends on the venue. Clubs usually don't open till 9 anyway, and some bars are great happy hour spots while others don't do anything until 10+.

Raves at 5 PM now...you must be in a completely different area! The ones I've been to around MD are usually in warehouses and don't get started till well past dusk. Unless you're talking about Starscape or other outdoors ones.

Depends on the place. In NY - outdoor bars get busy by 8. Normal bars by 10-11, and clubs with lots of dancing peak at 1, and are totally dead until midnight.

Yup, depends on the city. Most cities, the bars aren't even open before 10PM, or if they are, they're restaurants until 9:30 or so.

I shoot to be there an hour before the crowd.
