You don't smell STD's. But good chance she has some sort of mild yeast infection. Yeast infections smell fucking disgusting. She may have a small one and not realize it.

Some girls get these more than others two and it has little to do with her actual cleanliness (although, chances are, she's not the cleanest girl in the world). But it has little or nothing to do with STD's.
