Good topics for building a deep connection
Hey,

What do you think are some good topics to build a deep emotional connection with women. I know it will vary from guy to guy, but it would be helpful to get a general theme going. In the past I have talked about:

-Embarrassing moments in my life
-First time I fell in love
-First time I asked a girl out
-First kiss
-Past relationships
-My dreams, hopes, and ambitions

I also like to compliment girls on looks or other characteristic that I find admirable (being kind, sweet, caring, etc)

Some things that I think might be a good idea, but I usually avoid:

-How I lost my virginity (I lost it when I was 21, so kind of embarrassed to bring that up)
-How I was bullied a lot as a kid and how I had to build my self esteem up ( I think I told this to just one girl)

What other general topics can be talked about?

Thanks.

Stories about your childhood are usually home runs.

RE: Good topics for building a deep connection
Well, my first day of college, the prof. asked for a volunteer to tell their life story and have the class write a report on it. I thought it would be a great idea to make myself known to everybody in the program, so I layed it all out there. Getting bullied a lot as a kid, struggling with my speech impediment, overcoming obstacles, etc. Honestly, by the time I was finished (and managed to tell the whole story with perfect fluency - yes!) everyone was just floored. One of the girls stood up and told me I was really brave for telling everyone that stuff and the rest of the class agreed. From the point on, I had the girls eating out of the palm of my hand. And they were all convinced that I could relate to them on an emotional level and had this special ability to connect with people.

I think that talking about the struggles you've overcome in your life and you know, sharing some touching personal details is a great way to build a deep connection.

However, I'd avoid sexual topics in this regard ie. the virginity thing.
