For what it's worth, I've never seen a guy use Mystery Method to pick up anything that didn't look like a troll. Typically, when I see guys with girls who are much hotter than them, it comes from at least one of the following three things that does it: 1) great attractive lifestyle and/or commonalities with the girl, 2) being aggressive and persistent, and 3) connecting with them emotionally very quickly (vastly underrated).

I have never gotten a super hot girl (runway model, professional dancer, etc.) because of my witty lines or comebacks. In fact, a couple of the hottest girls I've been with HATED being teased and negged. For me, it's always been from some combination of the three things above.

Coincidentally, the three things above will also get you pretty much any girl you approach.

I'm not really that conscious about going direct or indirect, most of the time.

Direct is take it or leave it but can have amazing benefits.

Indirect can ge great as well. One advantage is that you can get girls introduced to your social circle. Although that can happen with direct as well.

But often I'm having a feeling that guys use indirect to avoid rejection.

The reason why indirect fails for most guys because most guys do not fully use the entire method. For most guys, indirect = opinion opener and that's it.

Mystery opens with indirect, but eventually, he start to convey his interest in the girl. If you look at his methods in the past, he even said at one point he said to the girl "you hijack my brain. I dont know what happen but i felt extremely attracted to you". That's about as direct as it can get.

Mystery makes the method a bit too complicated for most people because frankly, he's an intelligent guy. Most people who study his method and use it are not at that level in terms of intelligent and should stick with a simplier method, like 60's and get way more results.

Honestly, mystery innovate a hella a lot more than just opinion opener, negs and peacocking. But it's funny how he's known for that when in reality, that's like the least important thing he created.

Conveying vunerability(although it's the manipulative version), qualification, changing venue location, and imo, he's the first person to innovate "calibration". Basically, he state do not demonstrate too much lower value qualities.

Now let's be realistic. Let's just say you just diaharea in your pants. I dont think even brad pitt or mark mason here can get laid if he just did that and told the hot girl he's flirting that he just did that. I dont care how much confident you got, there's no way in hell you can get laid if you tell the girl you diaharea in your pant LOL

I don't think Jon means indirect... I think he means Mystery Method itself. Random drunk guys have been using "indirect" with great success for hundreds of years now.

Sure you can. You can tell a girl anything and get away with it if you frame it the right way. I've said ridiculous shit like this to girls a lot and still hooked up with them. The question is, DID you actually diarrhea in your pants or not? Because if you did actually diarrhea, then yeah, you're not getting laid.

This is where I have such a major problem with Mystery Method and why I think it doesn't work for 95% of people. Being attractive has very little to do with what you say. It has everything to do with what you are. Mystery Method tries to teach guys what to say when what they are is very unattractive (bad lifestyle, ugly, no confidence, scared, etc.). The few guys who do make Mystery Method work, would probably have had success with women saying just about anything. But they don't realize that, so they tell themselves it's the lines that got them girls, not the fact they're decently attractive and cool guys.

I think almost ever girl i talked to i've used part of mystery method. The most important thing mystery innovate to me is qualification: which is telling the girl you like her for qualities other than her looks. Every girl i've done this, there's a huge spike in attraction. Imo, for the first 10 minute of interaction, it's the second most important thing right behind subcommunication(body language).

After that, it's all about connecting.
