Yeah, I would never watch Sex and the City for entertainment purposes, or even dating advice purposes (the relationships in it are painful to watch). But it does give a clear picture of the current zeitgeist of the modern woman. Emphasis is put on sassiness, independence, assertiveness, with vague demands for some completely unrealistically successful man to take an interest in them despite the fact that they've done nothing to earn it.
