The 21 convention 2010 speakers review
The biggest problems with most pua is that they cant seem to distinct between good information and bad ones. If any idiot were to go on stage and give a speech, he's instantly given instant credibility. I guess most people are entirely too stupid to know the difference.

Here's my personal reviews of the speakers:
http://www.the21convention.com/category/2010/

Good speakers: Mark Sissons, Doug McGuff, Jason Savage, and AFCadam(he started off slow but his final content is pretty good. He encourage guys to take improv comedy as a way to improve his game.)

Average speakers: Rob Judge

Really shitty speakers: Zebra, Olando Owens, Dodger Clement, Dhram, and Richard La Ruina.

Worst speaker: Federick Satisfaction: This guy by far is the worst. He got the same level of charisma as a corpse and his speeches looks like he just finish reading the mystery method. WHen he finally got the girl on stage to talk to her, his interaction felt extremely contrive and force.

While i think anthony dream definitely contribute some of the best value to the community with his health and nutrition speakers, he also kills some of his credibility by including really really shitty speakers.

Ha, I didn't think Frederick was all that uncharismatic but he does do this ridiculous thing that a lot of instructors do "it's natural game because I improvised my qualification question." No, it isn't. I was a bit disappointed that a lot of Rob's speech was just outlining the book, but I guess he assumed most of the audience did not know who he was.

The problem with these pickup conferences is that there just aren't that many great instructors who will show up. In addition, having 1 hour speeches by people who often repeat or contradict eachother. Better to find half a dozen speakers and get them all on the same page, divide up topics, and have something cohesive.

RE: The 21 convention 2010 speakers review
I turn down 90% of the invitations to speak at these things these days. Although I don't get invited to 21 anymore. Dream doesn't really like me since I bashed the 2008 event (which I spoke at). Gotta give him credit though, he is a persistent and dedicated motherfucker. But yeah, half of his speakers are always awful.

My biggest gripe with these conventions is that they will pull 3-4 decent speakers, but since that doesn't justify selling a $300 ticket or whatever, the organizers load up the bill with 8-10 shitty speakers. This dilutes the value for both the attendees and for the coaches speaking. It used to be very frustrating to fly across the country, get up and give a talk full of a bunch of unique content that I had worked very hard on, and then have some random local guy jump up after me and basically repeat half the shit I just said in a different way.

And like Jon said, that doesn't even get into the fact that half of the speakers contradict each other. I remember at a conference last year, I spoke right after Speer. He's really routine-based and gimmicky. He finished his talk up with something like, "the five best text messages to guarantee you get laid," or something. Then everyone clapped. Then I get up and basically say, "Lines and routines don't work and it's basically impossible to ever guarantee that you're getting laid!" immediately afterward. Surprised the newbies heads didn't explode.

Yeah. I always remembered hearing a criticism of RSD that they never go to conferences and just do their own events. Of all things, that one seemed like just good sense.

I just watched Rob Judge and though he talks very hectic, jumping from one topic to another, he made some good points:
- Don't make picking up girls into some epic battle
- "How many of your approaches did you ever regret?" None!
- Mindset: The girl already wants to meet you

some more good stuff I can't remember

Yup, I think if you haven't read 4EG Rob's speech is great, but if you have it will be a bit of a recap

Freaking Dream. I wrote under comment for frederick's video that it's the worst video ever and he deleted my comment lol. Dream's been taking note from RSD

Oh, and i was trying to find mark's video on his site and its' no where to be found. He must have a pretty deep resentment toward mark.

RE: The 21 convention 2010 speakers review
The 2008 convention was a mess. My guess is there are a lot of videos missing. I was scheduled to go on last on the last day. But the convention got so far behind schedule, that I was actually given like 15 minutes and even that was because Steve Mayeda agreed to give me some of his time. What pissed me off was not only how poorly organized it was (over 2/3 of the attendees had left by the time I stood up to talk), but Dream had scheduled 2-hour talks for himself every single day.

That was my first convention. I was very new and was under the impression that this was some big professional industry. Boy that weekend was a very rude wake up call. Not just the convention, but hanging out with all of the other coaches afterward... I realized they were mostly people I didn't really want to be hanging out with. Was a weird experience.

Since then I've realized that more or less every convention goes that way. That's why if I agree to speak at one, I ask to speak at the beginning of the day. I show up 15 minutes before I go on. Do my thing. Talk to anyone who wants to talk afterward. And then get the fuck out.

Well, not to sound like PUA hate but dream appears to be one of the biggest charlatans in the industry. The guy openly admitted to having started coaching with over 1000 approaches and NO lays off cold approach. He said he was good at opening!

He had eight lays. He made it pretty public at the time. He seemed proud of that. I don't think he realized that eight lays is like a good month for some guys.

I think he's stopped coaching though. Which is definitely a good thing.
