and those sneakers you posted look bad to me for some reason... hmm here's what we're gonna do - here's the page with all casual shoes from the same shop as those ugly ones, and you tell me which are good in your opinion so I can notice the pattern maybe http://www.aldoshoes.com/uk/men/shoes/casual (and in my opinion most of them suck)
P.S I want to buy a new blazer... for some reason I like this one

opinions?
Frankly you should drop that one. I guess it should cost somewhere between 100 - 200 $. The problem doesn't come from the fact it's "coated" and shiny (even thought it gives a cheap texture...), the problem comes from the fact that the jacket composition should be mainly based on linen / coated cotton, which is a real pain to wear because of the mark / imprint you leave after wearing once. It becomes soggy + the jacket looks like a shirt that needs to be ironed...
It you wanna own a jacket, and is willing to buy one which is pretty good one, you should go for a wool / cotton one, which adapt well for summer as well as winter.
A clean, sharp and with a beautiful texture as this one :
For shoes, I guess you can't really cheat... If you buy a cheap one, it's not gonna look like an expensive one (meaning for quality). It's the item I hate the most cause it cost a lot, but having 2-3 good pairs is enough if you vibram them + choose them well.
Opening Ceremony are the best in this category in my opinion :
From the Aldo one, this one looks OK : http://www.aldoshoes.com/uk/men/shoes/ca...ldammer/97

Now that you mentioned pick up artist, I'll maybe watch those makeovers (on season two, in s1 students did makeovers on their own). Can't quite remember, but I think they were dressed pretty normal (without peacocking etc.)
Well, part is because of the photo angle which make him looks small, but also because the shoes are not at his size (one size bigger) + he wears skinny jeans which enhance the effect of elongated feet. These kind of dress / formal shoes goes better with a pant.
For the PUA show, the outfits were ok. The only guy who could work peacocking is Jdog (Matador just looked gay, and Mystery... Well, who cares). Typical California rock'n'roll style from LA. But it looked great on him. Rock shirt, designer jeans, and cowboy boots.
Personally, I prefer the quieter type of Saturday Surf, "less is more".

Some of the coolest looking and most comfortable designer jeans that I've ever come across are PRPS. High quality japanese denim that looks sick and fits just right. The price in retail is a bit much at around $350+, but if you belong to Gilt or MyHabit you can easily snag a pair for $150 or less and they feature PRPS every couple of months.
I'm big into designer jeans and have pairs from Diesel, True Religion, 7FM and R&R and PRPS blows these out of the water. They also seem to be the denim choice for David Beckham more often than not and he's one of the best dressed guys out there.

Be as simple as you can, and dress according to the occasion . Avoid wearing heavy jewelery.
