DD those are awesome bro!

The thing is that I have to wear custom shoe insoles (is that the right word haha) and they fit much better in casual shoes (like those you said are awful) then in dress shoes.

So I have to have some casual shoes too. So you gotta tell me what to look for in casual shoes, and what makes those above bad?

They are really, really ugly. You can train your aesthetic sense. I didn't "get it" at first myself, but bit for bit you get a feel for what looks bad.

Yeah, that slideshow is pretty popular.

What is a casual shoe for you? I posted 3 sneaker types above. And whether or not your insoles fit depends on the shoe, not whether it is a casual or dress shoe.

Btw you should fix your structural deficiencies and then ditch the insoles. I'd guess you suffer from overpronation resulting from several other posture deficencies such as hyperlordosis etc.) Who gave you the insoles for what?

I guess I'll ditch them in 3 years... doesn't matter, I'll have to find dress shoes with removable insoles (I was not checking before and most of those that I checked didn't have)

and those sneakers you posted look bad to me for some reason... hmm here's what we're gonna do - here's the page with all casual shoes from the same shop as those ugly ones, and you tell me which are good in your opinion so I can notice the pattern maybe http://www.aldoshoes.com/uk/men/shoes/casual (and in my opinion most of them suck)

P.S I want to buy a new blazer... for some reason I like this one

eh, im not really a fan of shiny jackets. I think with a jacket you are going for a certain kind of cleaned up that shiny kills.

Yes, very. Makes you look like a "styler" or pseudo-player. Like vests.

Nice "casual" dress shoes are chelsea boots, derbys, chukkas, desert boots... with or without brogueing...
Some nice desert boots for example:

Just look through their collection a bit.

Which sneakers did you mean btw? The leather ones were just okish. I'd go for keds, vans, chucks instead (basic colors).

RE: Fashion advice thread

No cotton if you are really skinny, fine otherwise. No shiny blazers ever, period. Make sure it fits properly. Shoulder pads line up with shoulders, it should close coomfortably with a couple extra inches on the jacket.

This is an example of a good looking blazer:

Pretty much shiny anything is bad, unless you're a G and it's blingbling.
