RE: How much does race really play a role?
Anybody know of Asian guys who are good at getting girls of other races? (white, black, latino etc)

I know you HEAR often that Asian guys don't get white girls, but from what Ive SEEN, doesnt seem to be the case at all. I see quite a few mixed race couples infact. Maybe not as much as other mixed couples like for instance black and white, but they do exist. Never have I ever seen a asian guy with a black girl though. Kind of weird.

Anyways the original question....anybody??? Didn't entropy use to work with an asian coach back in teh day? What happened to that guy????

My roommate is asian (he's half white, but you wouldn't know that unless he told you).

He's a natural, knows nothing about this stuff, and ALL he dates are black girls. He listens to rap, uses the slang (to an extent) and hangs out with mostly black and hispanic people. He actually sort of hates white people.

But anyway, I've been here since August and he's had three girlfriends one after the other, all black, since I've been here. He's spent maybe 2 or 3 weeks single, it's amazing. These are all girls he met through his social circle. I once told him I met a girl at Whole Foods, and he sounded amazed.

He's also one of the most manly dudes I've ever met. You piss him off, you're gonna know about it. You irritate him, you're gonna know about it. He doesn't hesitate at all to tell you what he thinks and doesn't care who you are. I'm not easily intimidated, but it took me awhile to get used to him. I've known a bunch of aggressive/loud guys or whatever, but he just gives off this constant 'don't fuck with me' vibe.

Another thing about him, is that our female roommate occasionally has friends over. On at least two occasions, I've heard those friends remark on how 'attractive' he is. And in both of those cases, he barely said a few sentences to them before leaving. He's a good looking guy, but I think it's more than that.

He is Japanese, and he's obviously asian.

He dresses like any other normal guy. More 'street' I'd say. Trendy slim straight jeans, nike's. He has a bunch of nice jackets, coats, suits. He has a dozen pairs of boots, shoes. He pays attention to what he wears, has an outfit for everything. Normal short black hair. He puts a little gel in it sometimes. Perfectly normal. He's got an athletic build, but nothing you'd notice through his clothes.

But no, he doesn't look like a popstar. If I saw him on the street in New York, he wouldn't stand out anymore than any other guy.

I think the best thing he has going for him is that he doesn't hesitate to say just whatever he feels like. He doesn't care if it'll cause a conflict or make things awkward. He's a good looking guy, but I think his attitude is his best asset.

You nailed it. Attractiveness has so much more to do with "presence" than any physical factor. And I think women interpret presence as a guy who is comfortable with his emotions and comfortable expressing them unconditionally.

So it's attractive to freak out because he is comfortable with it? I always thought that being in control of your emotions is the key to attraction, e.g. when women test/provoke you.

If you freak out because of a shittest then you did that because girl made you feel like freaking out, not because you just felt like doing it.

It's not about freaking out or being composed. It's WHY you're freaking out or are composed.

Are you being composed because you want to impress the girls around you?
Are you freaking out because you feel like something legitimately violates your values?

Yeah, I did. He was like 5'5" and Asian and banged a lot of girls. White girls, Latina girls, etc.

Yea, if my roommate's composed, it's because he has no reason not to be, not because he's trying to impress anyone.

If he's 'freaking' out, it's because someone/something pissed him off.

When you type it out like that, it sounds perfectly sane. It's basically just being normal. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's actually kind of weird to not 'freak out' when you legitimately have a reason to.

I'm going to start freaking out more when circumstances call for it.
