I have been cold approaching for almost a year now, and i am pretty happy with my results considering before that i only slept with 2 girls in my life and both were girlfriends.

However, something has been bugging me lately, and that is the fact that some girls just like me as soon as i approach, while others wont hook up with me no matter what i do. It's all so random and i feel like i have very little control.

Last week i approached a girl directly at the mall food court and as soon as i told her shes cute, she lit up, smiled and introduced herself. I didnt have to run any "game" on her, just had a casual conversation, we ate together, she gave me her number and a couple days later i texted her and she responded after like 2 seconds, we went out for coffee and fucked at my place.

A few days after that i approached another girl with the exact same opener, but instead of smiling she gave me this dear in headlights look and when i tried to introduce myself she just told me shes not interested and walked off.

Stuff like this happens to me all the time and its frustrating, some girls like me, others dont and i cant seem to find a pattern, its all completely random.

How do i eliminate this so i can get consistent results?

The opener has nothing to do with your results. Its absolutely fine what your doing I think.

I would file this one under logisitics. As Lycan rightly points out you cant have them all (sadly). This is where its a numbers game which is sad but true.
There are a million reasons out of your control that she isnt interested. Also make sure your vibe is consistent. That might make a bigger difference to long term results. Dont go looking for a better opener to 'fix' this.

Paul Janka has said his approach to lay ratio is about 1 in 10 or 1 in 9. This is pretty interesting considering he's a tall, very good-looking Harvard grad who lives in Manhatten. Mark said something similar in an interview a while back...

I would take what Mystery says with a huge grain of salt. Given the 'performance' that is a huge part of Mystery Method, the whole '5 for 5' thing could just mean he opens five groups and they don't think he's a freak!

Agreed. Take the marketing with a bag of salt.

Also I would add that you probably dont want to spend all your life trying to get better at this just to up some metric. Its probably more important that you make the succesful meetings with the cuties that like you as rich and as interesting as possible for both you and her. At the end of the day that is what will make your life remarkable and something to be proud of. Not that you bang on average 5 out of 10 girls you meet.

I think coming from the place of seeing yourself as an ambassador in the world is really healthy (credit here to Juggler). So focusing on bringing people together, adding something positive to conversations and of course get laid as a side-benefit to that output (which is easy if you know how to escalate smoothly right?). Call it positive karmic payback.

If you just want to get laid go direct, hardcore escalate, flirt, tease, impress and turn over big numbers of approaches. It's exhilarating and addictive. You'll sell your soul to your penis so watch you dont get too shut off from real human connection. Ive seen some ex pua horror stories of guys that cant trust girls because they have picked up some nasty beliefs in their 'get laid or die trying' nightgame adventures.

All that aside if you want to do that then best to go ahead and sow your seeds sooner rather than later. Look after yourself.

The 5 for 5 Myth is possibly one of the most damaging and completely untrue things propagated by Mystery. Don't beat yourself up about it man. You're doing fine. We all have to deal with the randomness.

Night game? Depends on the venue.

But a few times per 10 approaches, yeah. And then I'd say another 2-3 per 10 don't reject me, but just don't go anywhere.

You just get used to it and stop caring.

Well even if it's one lay in every ten girls, that's still awesome. Some say like yeah those dating coaches get laid, but they approach 25 girls a night blah blah blah, but again if we counted every time some average guy doesn't approach a girl because he's scared as a rejection, average guy would have like 1 in 500 score.

I don't have a better way to measure someone's success.
