I see both what you're going for here, but I think CeeGee's right. You don't want to be choosing your hobbies on the hope they'll appeal to girls, you want to choose them based on whether they excite and fulfill you.

There is room for a middle ground though. I particularly love Southern women, although I don't love the Southern states. I don't think I'd like traveling there much at all (except for Austin+New Orleans, where I'll be at soon). On the other hand, I do love to read, so I can read books by Southern writers, or that are about the south. Or I can listen to Southern bands or artists. Although I'm not sure how popular talking about Huckleberry Finn is going to make me

You totally got me in the mood to watch Dukes of Hazzards man. Just saw Ricky Bobby so I'm almost there. New Orleans is such an awesome and eclectic city. Your passion is still infectious though.
