So I'm about to leave Boston to go on a one month Amtrak loop of the good ol' USA, and I'll be stopping through 7 different cities, each for 2-4 days at the most. I'll be mainly staying in hostels, sightseeing the cities at day, and going out at bars at night.

So my question is: how should I approach gaming girls in this time? Obviously I'll be looking for same day/night hook ups, and because I'm leaving the US soon after there'll be no issue communicating that there's no possibility of anything happening in the future.

When I'm in the hostel I'll be looking to befriend as many people as I can, and then try and get a group to go out to bar and then try to hook up with whomever I'm interested in. This worked last time I was traveling and it was gold. You're the leader of the group, you're both in a new city, and there's probably no tomorrow.

However, I'm also hoping to hook up with locals too, that I'll meet as I sightsee the city. I'm looking to not only hook up but also meet people who'll show me around or just hang out to get some coffee or food. Mark, I'm sure you know Raycat from the BL, who rode his bike from Boston to San Fran, staying at the girl's places he was hooking up with as he went along. He's partially inspired me to do the same; to try and meet as many people as I can, despite traveling alone.

Anyway, I guess I don't have a specific question, but I'm more just curious as to what guys think might be some potential obstacles or advantages I haven't considered. In my imagination I meet some cute girl in an arty museum, she takes me to the city's coolest bars, and then we head back to her place to get freaky until the sun comes up and I run for my train to the next city. Or I check into the hostel at 4, chat up a group of Swedish tourists by 5, hit the bars by 6, and end up in a grungy hot tub with them by 1. Rinse, repeat.

Of course, reality is rarely as glamourous as fiction, so any thoughts on how this may actually pan out and how I can prepare myself?

The thing Raycat did that was money was that he contacted girls in cities ahead of time and basically primed them for his arrival. As I understand he spent a lot of time doing that, and he'd either hook up with them, or he'd meet their social circle and go that route. He also spent more time in cities.

I think for you, do the hostel thing. It's easy. It's fun. Hostels generally have awful logistics anyway, so other girls staying there are your only option sometimes. But it's so fucking easy to meet people in them, it's not such a bad thing.

When you go out and meet locals, you're going to have to be more aggressive than usual. If they start seeing you as boyfriend-type material, then they're going to push away because they don't want to get attached to a guy who is leaving town. So keep it a little more superficial, and be aggressive.
