Yeah, I know that looks matter but being good-looking isn't enough etc. etc. but what to do if you're really ugly?

I mean like you have an ugly face with a crooked nose and receding chin or whatever and no matter how much you work out and how well you dress, you will still be ugly. (I'm defo not the best looking guy either but I have a friend who pretty much fits that description. Fortunately he doesn't seem to be aware of it.)

With some luck you may find a long-term girlfriend that values your personality and loves you, but if you wanna sleep around for some time, its gonna be pretty frustrating with a lot of rejections.

So, no hope for Mr. Ugly Guy? What do you think?

Almost any guy can make himself not ugly if he really gets his shit together (style, fashion, grooming, etc.). He may never become a 10, but just about any guy can turn himself into at least a 5.

Studies have shown that women don't judge male physical attractiveness on physical features as much as on the way he presents himself, the way he carries himself, etc. This is why this area is the most fundamental and it's always the very first thing I teach to guys.

Even a handsome devil like myself had difficulty with girls at one stage in life.

If he doesnt notice it then I dont see the problem. He should concentrate on opening and leading an interaction. Also if he is young (like <22yrs) then he should spend as much time building his life experience and I dont mean with girls. Have something to say. Have an opinion.

I used to hang out with a little short fat guy in my community days and he was amazing with the come-backs and banter. Girls loved him for his cheeky style. Thats his personality and he learned how to turn it up to 11 on the dial. Your friend can do the same. We all can. Anyway girls dig that more than the adonis like features I happen to be blessed with (#field tested). ;-)

How can you help this in say online dating? Women seem to judge right away on things like age, height, hair color and build. I have female friends that do this on match and various sites. In real life a guy can convey his personalty but when its in a vacuum like online dating, they seem to look at physical features and vitals under a keen eye.

How does a guy overcome that situation?

Ditch online dating. Sweep her off her feet in real life.

Nothing against online dating but you're going to have more problems trying to meet girls online who meet your standards of physical beauty. Likewise she is going to have difficulty meeting guys with some balls online.

Before you go online my advice would be to do 20 approaches during the day when the suns out and she isnt drunk. You will change and grow in ways you never thought possible.

Yeah, online dating is unforgiving when it comes to that stuff, because it allows women to immediately lump you into categories and assume stereotypes about you (reference from other thread) without actually knowing you and getting your vibe.

But a picture of a guy doing something interesting will say a lot more than just his looks.

You will get rejected a lot if you try to sleep around whether you are ugly or not. Seriously, it often has nothing to do with you. I think Mark said somewhere on his website that he doesn't know of any dating coach who gets more than 1 out of every 10 girls he approaches (or something like that).

And 1 out of 10 is doing pretty damn well. 1 out of 20 is probably what most guys consider "good."

Rejection is a fact of this stuff. Learn to love it.
