It actually has nothing to do with that GeeCee... at least I didn't get any of that out of it. It's more broad than that... I take it as an "Introduction to REALLY understanding evolution and why we behave the way we behave."

Models - A Comprehensive Guide to Attracting Women
G3 Program - Step-by-step interactive coaching program -- takes you from A-to-Z with women.

I'd recommend his "The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution" as well.

1 - Getting Things Done (GTD) by Dave Allen. Why: This book got me more promotions at work than anything else I have read (and Ive read lots of self help, career, personal organisation books). Its a system I still follow since I started to use it 4 years ago. Cant recommend this enough. It will put your in the top 1% of productivity which, if your like me, means you can slack off and take smoke breaks more often. ;-)

Just ordered this one! Thanks for the recommendation.

The rest of the book was somewhat interesting, but the first 2-3 chapters left my jaw on the floor for a couple days.

I never finished the whole book, but I got well beyond the first 100 pages. What I remember now is that, basically, we humans are merely some sort of machines to carry and copy genes. Smile

Just the perspective that we've evolved as gene replicators and not the other way around is a bit of a mind-fuck. His whole perspective on the definition of life and where it came from. Dawkins is the man.

Haha, me too...
You guys read about him trying to arrest the pope? This guy is hilarious! :-D
Concerning the book itself: A very good and insightful book, but still, its 70s, its about nature/nurture, and today this discussion is obsolet. Read about epigenetics when interested...
When general interested in recent developments concerning genetics and genetic engineering read sth about HGP (human genome project, finished in 200x) or watch the movie frozen angels (highly recommenced!!).

Ive read the God Delusion and was incredibly impressed... not with the writing in the strictest sense but in his aggresiveness about holding true to the scientific thought process. I loved that.

What I would pay to get Dawkins in a room and discuss my life assumptions... he would probably send a bolt of lightning (excuse the religious imagery) through my mind!

I already own the book. Sadly I lacked the Discipline to apply the system longer than 1 month
I'll try to give it a Re-Run though Smile

Is that book similar to "Mastery" by G. Leonard?
