I was out tonight and guess who I saw. That's right folks. Mr Tyler Durden from RSD. It was pretty interesting to see him infield. He is pretty good. A girl followed him around the club. I saw him open her and escalate really fast. Anyway, his "game" seemed pretty good.

He saw me watching him - a fact I did precious little to hide and came said hi. He then ran some game on me to get me to buy one of his seminars/bootcamps etc. He saw I was not impressed. So he said, "I know you are not going to believe me. But you'll be kicking yourself for not doing this. I don't want to pressure you or anything". I said in a matter of fact way, "Dude, you won't pressure me. Don't worry". He interjected, "Are you coming though?". I said, "I'll check it out and decide". I know he was running game and that is cool. But come on. I guess, that's why so many weak willed people get sucked into the RSD jazz.

I then met him outside before I was leaving. He started tooling me. Now, one thing learning "game" has taught me is to keep my composure and have a thick skin. Why? Because I believe in myself. He started saying, "Dude, so now that I'm leaving, you want to leave too? It is not how much I get my dick red. It is about you". I agreed because he was right. But the guy wouldn't let it go. He points out to a girl and says, "Go open her". I turn and see that it is a tranny. I say, "Nope. I'm not going to open her". He said, "Why are you making excuses bro?". LOL. This guy is an idiot. He always want to be the "alpha male". I said, "Guess I must suck" and smiled. Funny thing is despite all this "alpha" BS, when he got blown out, he felt the need to come explain to me why he got blown out. I don't give a fuck dude. Everybody gets blown out. Even if you are the great Tyler Durden.

In summary, he is really good. But he doesn't have the compassion required of a teacher. He is always trying to out-alpha you, which is a very poor attitude for a teacher.

Oh, I know what he was trying to sell you. Apparently they are doing this "hot seat" thing where Jeffy shows infield footage and then breaks it down for a full day. I actually saw TD on the free tour where he did a bit of this - it's actually a pretty cool concept. He showed a clip of himself picking up a girl who was getting into a cab. To his credit, he pointed out "this usually doesn't work, but when it does it's awesome."

I think, from seeing the in-field footage, that he has two big advantages

1) he seems to have no social anxiety whatsoever. He approached a girl in a totally ridiculous situation and acted like he was doing something completely normal.

2) He's been at this so long he can anticipate the logistics of virtually any situation and navigate them effectively.

And if he was trying to tool you, to be fair, you weren't his student, so I wouldn't assume he's got a bad attitude as a teacher for his paying clients.

Also, what did he tell you when he explained why he got blown out? Was it excuse making or a legitimate analysis of the situation?

I think the point was that shadow was just chilling out and watching him and Tyler went into full-blown "PUA Guru" mode unprovoked instead of talking to him like a human being. He was trying to pitch him on something, or impress him, or teach him or whatever. Tyler was making the assumption that shadow looked up to him and wanted to learn from him without actually talking to him. It's an arrogant attitude to come from.

I used to run into this in reverse when I lived in Boston and it drove me crazy. I'd be out with some friends just chilling out and guys would follow me around a bar and then ask me why I hugged this girl at this moment or something. It's like, dude, that's my roommates girlfriend, it's her birthday. Be a human for a second. Or I'd try to have a casual non-PUA conversation with a guy and he'd break in and be like "so this is a comfort story, right?" No fuckface, I'm just talking to you.

I find this story very weird. From what Ive seen on Tyler durden on the free videos on their website, he seem like a VERY genuine and nice person, but at the same time, this might aswell be him manipulating guys into RSD, if thats the case... shit he is a very evil person then.

Can u swear to god this is true? Like, what city were u in, what club?

I don't think this is all that strange. When he does videos on the website he is WORKING. If he's a professional he bottles up whatever character flaws he has when he is on the job and puts his best face forward. In the club, he might be an asshole. If you think RSD's advice is good, it doesn't really matter if TD is a nice guy or not. (Incidentally, I think it comes across very clearly in his videos on RSD that the guy is a gigantic narcissist, but again, I don't think that quality is inconsistent with him giving good advice).

Yeah, shit, if you think about it, theres a HUGE brainwashing going on in RSD. How can they teach "having no ego" when Tyler and Jeffy is obviously the most egomaniac narcisists there is?

Fair point about not being a paying customer. But, it does belie an underlying misanthropy. I wasn't anything but cordial, even warm. I told him in a non-adoring fashion that he is really good. He had absolutely no reason to tool me except for a fear of being out-alphaed. And it was not about the words. It was about the vibe. He'd have to be a pretty good actor to suddenly care about his students, just because they paid him when it is in his nature to be a dick.

As for the blowout, the girl was laughing and giggling. But he suddenly ejected and came said to me, "I told her to suck my dick and she got pissed". Pretty legitimate, I guess. But I wasn't really looking for analysis or coaching. In fact, I didn't talk about game at all with him. I don't have anything to learn about game, just execution. Plus I don't really care about my ratios all that much. So who cares?

It is pretty lame that he went into pick up guru mode when you were trying to be normal. Apparently his coaching style does involve a lot of alpha male taunting to get people to approach more. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

I suppose I am pretty cynical about these things, in part because I grew up around a lot of politicians b/c of my Dad's job (journalist, worked for a politician for a while) and am pretty used to the fact that a lot of people with great public personas are privately giant douchebags. Like there are politicians out there who I respect for what they do and would give money to their campaign, but they are giant dicks. One (whose name I can't say) will mention his SAT scores in almost any social setting. He's middle aged, and he still brings up his SAT scores, constantly.


That said, that's pretty hilarious about the blow job. The guy does not lack balls.
