RE: 3 Best Books
Don't really subscribe to her philosophy. Just for where I was in my life at the time, it was the most important thing I've ever read.

Everyone should at least read her. There are a lot of things to take from her work.

Models - A Comprehensive Guide to Attracting Women
G3 Program - Step-by-step interactive coaching program -- takes you from A-to-Z with women.

RE: 3 Best Books
Dont really read PU books so here are the books that changed my life the most.

1 - Getting Things Done (GTD) by Dave Allen. Why: This book got me more promotions at work than anything else I have read (and Ive read lots of self help, career, personal organisation books). Its a system I still follow since I started to use it 4 years ago. Cant recommend this enough. It will put your in the top 1% of productivity which, if your like me, means you can slack off and take smoke breaks more often. ;-)

2 - I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit Sethi. Why: Like GTD this is a system thats easy to follow to manage your money. I paid off a ton of debt last year and now Im building up my war chest and this showed me how. If your good with money dont waste your time on this. Get your money shit together and a lot of things fall in to place including peace of mind. Ive messed with hypnosis, buddhism and NLP and none of them can achieve peace of mind the way GTD and this book can.

3 - The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (he is no dumb-ass har har). Why: Bit of fiction here. The main character is rock solid and is seriously gangster. It took me months to read but unlike tv and films it takes over your life while your in it. Apart from his revenge fantasy The Count is the MAN.

Im afraid no PU stuff here but if you have your shit together life is easy.

Will read these. Thanks bro.

I'd also recommend Mastery by George Leonard

Ayn Rand an the objectivst movement is very good. It will change your belief system

"only the strongest can weather the storm of consistent rejection and keep on trying"

"They have the tenacity, flexibility and pure drive to break through, and these are the men that women are inevitably attracted to"

+1 for "I Will Teach You To Be Rich"

Viktor E Frankl - man's search for meaning

Caldini - Influence

Seneca - letters from a stoic

Cal Newports books (esp. if you are a student) http://calnewport.com/books/
(& his blog http://calnewport.com/blog/)

Ferris book is a nice summary of many popular concepts, but a lot of it (the passive income part) is way harder to actually do than it is described. But just like with "4 hour body" (which is sadly mostly incorrect & copied) his marketing is outstanding. You can really learn something there from his work. (yeah talking to you, mark Wink )

RE: 3 Best Books
GeeCee & Happy - Ramit is the man; I love his blog. I haven't read his book but I get quite a big from his blog and I just finished Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss. I'm thinking of doing his Earn 1K program.

I love Atlas Shrugged and the Fountainhead, but once you mention Rand, a few polarized responses often come out. You can read the book without drinking all of the objectivist kool-aid and really get a lot out of it - especially if you're young. I think a lot of people have a hard time separating this, in addition to separating the author and her hypocritical personal life from her work. The Salon article was interesting, but it's more the case she had a terrible father than the ghost of Ayn Rand ruining her childhood.

Anyways - a lot of good books have been mentioned already. Mastery is also on my list. I enjoyed 48 Laws of Power and Art of Seduction by Robert Greene. John Maxwell has some great books on leadership that I've enjoyed. Meanwhile, the whole concept of Plato's cave allegory in the Republic blew my mind when I actually tried to process it.

I'll just throw out there that the first 100 pages or so of "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins mind-fucked me harder than just about anything I've ever read (and I read a shitload of non-fiction). The rest of the book was somewhat interesting, but the first 2-3 chapters left my jaw on the floor for a couple days.

Thanks for the recommendation... I'll read this as soon as possible!

RE: 3 Best Books
I am a bit scared of reading The Selfish Gene in case it makes me completely long-term anti-relationship and make me obsessed with being 'Alpha'. *yuch*
Is that a reaction anyone got from that book?
