So...this is a thought that I just had while sitting here studying at 2am jacked up on so much caffeine my hands are shaking...

What do you guys think of the notion that going after hotter girls, for me, will actually IMPROVE my results.

The way I see it, I'm a pretty good looking guy, I've put a lot of work into my clothes, fashion, body, etc. I'm in med school, I'm pretty funny and smart, but to be honest, I've been really self-conscience and had low self esteem a lot of my life. If only I wasn't so short!!! (j/k) As a result, I usually get REALLY intimidated around better looking girls, and only approach...well...my friends and I call them "warpigs", and a lot of the time people will ask me why i'm with this or that girl.

ANYWAY, I wonder if by approaching these "warpigs" - if they feel intimidated by me and/or think I'm only interested in them for a quick/quiet roll in the hay. Maybe my results would actually GO UP if I could have the same confidence around hotter girls than I do around ugly girls. They won't be as intimidated. Do you guys think this is valid? Or am I just being an arrogant dickwad? Thoughts?

I pretty much only approach the girls that really do it for me. The ones I really find attractive.

But since I wasn't getting anywhere doing day approaches, awhile ago I tried to approach less attractive girls. Just to see if the results would be different. Not necessarily ugly, just girls I wasn't all that impressed with. My results and responses were considerably worse with them. It was as if they didn't really believe me, like they thought I was screwing with them. These weren't ugly girls, just 'plain' or a little overweight. I will say that I don't think they get approached or complimented on the street very often.

But in any case, I got a lot of cold reactions compared to the girls I normally approach. So I stopped doing that. I would say just approach the girls you really find attractive, because the less attractive ones don't seem to take your compliment/interest at face value.

My experience is that if you go for the hotter chicks and hit on them in bars and clubs and are not that experienced and thus a bit intimidated by their looks (like every normal guy is), then you will probably get rejected a bunch which is likely to foster your current believe that they are very hard to get, maybe impossible for you because of whatever. But when you just small talk with them at other places like bars or through your social circle, then you will eventually grasp and some point that most of the hot girls are nice people not much different from the other ones with regards to the conversation and their emotions. When your mindset changes you view them as "normal" and not as something out of your league, then you will obviously improve your results. In my opinion improving your standards consists mostly of changing your mindset, self-image/confidence and your perception on them.

I get what you're saying, Extropy, but I think you slightly missed the point.

Also, I don't really do a lot of bar/club game anymore. I mostly consist of social circle/day game at this time in my life.

Interesting Kick - I'm going to up my standards and see what happens. I think I've spent so much time on "inner game" and confidence building, I think how I feel about myself is finally congruent with how I should feel about myself, or at least close to it. I wonder if going after girls that most people would expect me to go after will improve my results even beyond what you assume a a boost in confidence would do.

Day game hot girls are actually easier than ugly girls. Night game hot girls are harder than ugly girls.

But 90% of this is in your head and because you're more nervous around hotter women. In day game/social circle, being a bit nervous and self-conscious comes off as endearing and genuine, whereas at night it comes off as pathetic and weak.

In general, I think hitting on girls who make you nervous is the ONLY way to make you improve. If you're hitting on girls you don't care about, then you're never flexing your pick up muscles. It's like going to the gym and lifting tiny weights that are easy to pick up.

I have noticed this too but I always assumed it was less about nervousness and more about hte fact that really hot girls are used to getting hit on by drunken idiots at bars, so they are more guarded.

Is there a particular reason for this? Are people afraid to go even talk to the "hot" girls during the day? Do the ugly girls get an ego boost in sunlight haha? Or are they more receptive at daylight due to the amount of balls it takes (approximately two) to walk up to them and express your intent (which tends to weed out the ones not interested).
