Profiles of guys who seek coaching - Kevin - 04-08-2011 02:02 PM

I've been curious about this for a while and am totally going to take advantage of Mark's 'I'll respond to any thread' offer.

I'm wondering what are some of the various 'profiles' of guys who seek coaching, or who take bootcamps, or basically seek out more pricey hands-on instruction?

Like what are their demographics, personalities, problems they want help with, issues the prevent them from improving? What are the broad 'types' that any experienced dating coach has seen many times before?

I think you've requested this a couple times before. I've got it on my list of "to do" posts to write for the blog, if you can hold on just a little longer. Wink

I'm interested in this too.

P.S. Let me just quote Mark about one issue preventing guys from improving in case you haven't seen that thread.

Mark Wrote:- Attitude. This is huge. I refuse to coach guys who don't display a decent attitude now, because it's simply impossible to coach guys with a bad attitude. Guys who don't have an attitude of being open, willing to learn, willing to admit mistakes; guys who have a lot of negativity, a sense of entitlement, and don't take responsibility for their lives and what happens to them -- these guys will never improve. As long as you blame the world for not helping you, instead of understanding that sometimes the world sucks and it's your responsibility to help yourself, you're not going to get anywhere.
