To be happy, you need to know what you want. With regards to PU that means knowing what kind of personality you like, how attractive she should be at least, etc.

I'm now living in Asia and and this city the type of girl I really desire is pretty rare. Most the the foreigners here are male (70%+), most foreign girls living here are married or have a boyfriend and the ones left, most are very superficial and materialistic and came here only for the money (dancers, waitresses, etc). Obviously, I'm only talking about the foreign girls, because I'm much more interested in them than in Asian girls.

I'll probably work here for another year or move to a city where it will be even worse.

Over the last months, I ended up dating a lot of girls I wasn't that into. Don't get me wrong. I had a good time and enjoyed their company and that's the first important thing. But I couldn't imagine a long-term relationship with any of the girls (because of several reasons, their personality, my lifestyle, me or them going to another country, etc).

Also, at the moment I am at a point where I really seek a relationship. Again, don't get me wrong, I am enjoying it here, just hard to find the kind of girl I am looking for here. Any suggestions?

There are definitely certain TYPES of ex pat communities that are mostly dudes, others that have a lot of women. So even if most of the ex pats are men, you should think about finding little subgroups where that isn't true. NGOs would be a great example. I have a friend who is a journalist who LOVES going abroad because it's so easy to hook up with ex pat women.
