Do you guys think this is legit?
I'm interested in gaining mass and following the slow carb diet. The one thing that concerns me is the low levels of energy that would come from lack of carbs.
Honestly, I dont feel lack of energy from low carbs. In fact, I get MORE energy. The reason because the carbs raise my insulin, which cause me to feel sleepy.
Low carb diet, along with yoga is the best thing happens for my health in the past months.
Is this the guy that gained like 34 pounds in 4 weeks? Considering he had built up considerable amounts of muscle in the past, the combination of muscle memory and fluid manipulation makes this less unbelievable. This isn't impossible but the way he markets it, he makes it seem like any average joe could do this with enough hard work and effort. It's just not so.
If you're concerned about low levels of energy, you don't have to cut carbs at all. Do carb refeeds on training days and just consume more fats and less carbs on rest days. I suggest reading up on Martin Berkhan if you're interested in gaining mass but would like to keep fat gain to a minimum. But read everything. All the blog posts are like pieces of a puzzle. Read even the comments. I posted about this in one of these topics on this forum.
Everybody is different. Some people react better to less carbs. Others can consume mass amounts and still be fine. I would still recommend carb cycling if you'd like to ease into it though.
One thing that would help is: What are your goals? Do you want to gain ten pounds of mass and then cut? Are you working out purely for aesthetic reasons or do you seek to condition for some sport?
There are many qualified experts I've uncovered over the years that I can recommend if you'd like.
Most of it is stupid.
The stuff that works, is taken from other sources. Rather go to these or ask real experts.
He is amazing at marketing though. That's what you should focus on learning from him.
Eat a kcal surplus, enough protein, at least 100-150g Carbs and follow a smart weight training plan, which aligns with your goals, limitations and status quo.

It's complete, utter nonsense (at least regarding gaining muscle) and the regulars on bodybuilding forums--the dudes who have been experimenting with all manner of techniques to gain muscle mass for years--have ripped it to shreds. The majority of men can only hope to build 5-15 lbs of muscle per *year* without steroids.
Rule of life I learnt from my Mum: If it sounds too good to be true; it is.
Not necessarily. It's always best to keep an open mind. I remember reading so many "useless" things only to come back to them and shout, "Eureka!" But there are some sales copy pages that can't be justified most of the times. THREE QUESTIONS TO GET IN HER PANTS/MIND/BOTH?? Haha.

Just don't be so open minded that your brain falls out.
What do you guys think about the stuff he writes about sleeping circles and reducing your total sleep time? I heard Obama does something like that and only sleeps 4h a day.
