Can you guys recommend movies where you could take aspects and characteristics of the main characters and sort of mimic and understand social dynamics better? I guess what I'm asking is if you guys could recommend a list of movies, and television shows where you can learn about the characters that you could apply to persuasion, life and pickup and related stuff. Characters and situations from movies and shows that demonstrate "alpha" and great grasps of persuasion and social dynamics.
Swingers (Vince Vaughn)
Bond. James Bond.
Roger Dodger.

Or...

She's the man (no serious mode on).
Fight Club
Groundhog Day
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (for relationships)
Closer (for relationships)
Casino Royale (the first 2/3, after he wins the poker game, the movie jumps off a cliff)
The Fountain (for how NOT to be in a relationship; it's no coincidence that the fiance that inspired this film later broke up with the director)
Californication (Seasons 1+2)
For dominate males:
Boston Legal. Denny Crane and Alan Shore both have two very different types of swagger.
Any movie with James Dean.
Pulp Fiction.

For social dynamics:
Gossip Girl
Real Housewives of *Insert x here*
Jersey Shore

If you're going to watch the above three though... make sure you spend some quality time with the most down to earth, un materialistic women you know afterwards.

How I Met Your Mother. Both Ted and Barney are actually interesting case studies for ladies men. Ted can come off as self-deprecating and a little lame, but he's also very confident and charming. I think the whole 'have you met Ted' thing would work really for a guy like him in reality. The initial vibe he puts out is 'oh god not this again, how lame is my friend', but he asks one or two questions to gain an opening and then finds something very interesting in the girl that he'll authentically compliment her on. And every once in a while when the conversation is quite serious, he'll tease the girl. Classic Push-Pull.
Barney, well Barney's just interesting.
Colin Farrel's character in Miami Vice.

That 'have you met ...' thing works, its even funnier if the girl knows the show. Try it Wink

And yeah, Californication.
Don Juan De marco with Jonny Depp

Anyone seen Wedding Crashers? Its kinda like a wedding-themed movie about PUAs.

I think that's self explanitory. lol
it's gotta be Californication for me; Hank moody is the motherfucking time.
I don't know about you guys, but I've always been pretty impressed with Mickey Rourke
in most movies. For me, he pretty much just epitomises cool in Rumble fish and saw some guy called Zan Perrion use him in 9 and a half weeks as an example of great body language so yeh check that out I guess.
Jack Nicholson as well. I read in an interview that he's literally slept with thousands of women which ain't no easy feat and that definately comes off on screen
also, just watched the a-team remake last night and Face is pretty much the person that every guy wants to be
oh yeah and Vicky Cristina Barcelona with Javier Bodim. I mean c'mon, not only does he get Scarlett Johannson but he gets Penelope Cruz too and at the same time
