Ugh.. this is depressing. 80% of the questions are from guys from my own forum, lol.
I don't know if it's because Seddit didn't start promoting it until two days before. Or if Reddit is slow right now (it is for me). Or if people have been over-exposed to these things, since they've had four in a row. Or if people just don't give a shit because I'm not a "big name."
You know, since I started this shit in 2007, I've always been the guy who drops an assload of wisdom on everyone and doesn't get taken seriously because I wasn't mentioned in the Game or didn't speak at a bunch of lame conferences. Really getting tired of it.
I used to think if I just put out enough good stuff, I'd start getting the credit I deserve, but does not seem to be working that way. I really need to hire a marketing/PR guy...

Sorry we're hogging all the questioning! I'll try and think of a question that'll let you rhapsodize about your philosophy.
Also, don't get down on yourself. One, it's pathetic and you're better than that. Two, a lot of guys might be reading this but hesitant to ask you a lot of questions. Especially if they're stuck in the PUA mindset. It took me a while to get away from that, and I was not that entrenched in the community, plus I was reading your blog to help me detox the whole way. Plenty of guys who don't take you seriously enough now might be very loyal customers after reading your new book and letting it sink in. Three, this thread may get a lot of views once it's over. Savoy's thread was voted #1 I saw, and he didn't talk for much time at all. Keep working your shit and even if it doesn't seem to be bringing anything back right now, it may well in the future. Finally, you know you do need to work on your marketing once the book is out...

Hah... thanks for the pep talk. I needed that. 99% of the time I'm content with how things are going. But it seems it's always when I get sucked into doing some event like this, I inevitably get disappointed.
But I know it's great exposure in the long-run. Just annoyed that there are other threads about K-closes and MLTR's and whatnot that are getting dozens of upvotes and comments, and here I've got like the same 10 people asking stuff over and over.
I think part of my crankiness is that it's 7:30AM here and I haven't slept yet.

Hah... there's Tim's money question!
I'm definitely running out of steam. Getting a bit loopy over here.

Haha I tried. I'm ready for bed myself; it's after 1 AM here. One more for you before I tune out...
You're getting some really great feedback too, such as: "Looks like I'm throwing my approach coach idea out the window... thanks for this, Mark. All of your responses have been unbelievably insightful. This one particular opened my eyes up to where I actually am development was. Needed a wake up call and this is a start."
Even if this doesn't increase your traffic (and I'm sure it will), at least you can be comforted in the fact you're helping guys who might never have had realizations without being exposed to this.

Yeah, that's the best comment/reaction I've seen in a long time.
And honestly, that's the last thing the world needs, is another cocky kid with 16 lays trying to coach. Did the world a favor today.

My favorite quote from you on seddit
"I think the elephant in the room in this industry is that we're here to sort through our own emotional bullshit, the whole "I want to get laid like a rock star" is just a convenient cover. We're a massive support group in disguise. Seduction, after all, is an emotional activity, not a logical one."
You said something similar back on your entropypua blog awhile ago, that got me less into reading the latest e-book and more into sorting out my own insecurities, negative thoughts, etc. Read "No More Mr Nice Guy" probably a little afterwards.

I'd say the 80% of guys on your forum for your Q&A isn't because your marketing sucks per se, but because you have a very loyal fanbase.
You may have already read this, but:
1000 True Fans
by Kevin Kelley Wrote:One solution is to find 1,000 True Fans. While some artists have discovered this path without calling it that, I think it is worth trying to formalize. The gist of 1,000 True Fans can be stated simply:
A creator, such as an artist, musician, photographer, craftsperson, performer, animator, designer, videomaker, or author - in other words, anyone producing works of art - needs to acquire only 1,000 True Fans to make a living.
A True Fan is defined as someone who will purchase anything and everything you produce. They will drive 200 miles to see you sing. They will buy the super deluxe re-issued hi-res box set of your stuff even though they have the low-res version. They have a Google Alert set for your name. They bookmark the eBay page where your out-of-print editions show up. They come to your openings. They have you sign their copies. They buy the t-shirt, and the mug, and the hat. They can't wait till you issue your next work. They are true fans.
The same applies to authors, and I'd say of all the gurus out there, you're the one that most directly gets in touch with your fans, where we'd be met with answering machines or product recommendations trying to do the same with another guru.
Also, it's a "seduction/PU" section on Reddit, and for me, I interpret the USP of your material to be the fact that it is the only "healthy" functional resource for seduction in the community. Most guys join the community because they want notches, not emotional health, so turnout could make sense.
What I'm trying to say is keep doing what you're doing because you're already starting to carve what looks like a very defined niche, and we clearly all dig your shit too.
